Episode 9 - Adepticon Kings of War Clash of Kings
Total Length: 1 Hour 14 Minutes 22 Seconds
In This episode I'm joined by my old time co-host from The Waaagh Cast Chuck to talk about our experience at the Adepticon 2016 Clash of Kings even for Kings of War! The Clash was a 2 day, 6 game, 2500 point tournament and boy was it long!
We go over our lists, the games played and then the winners of the tournament. We discuss what we saw, what we think and our opinions on the whole shin dig, so strap in and enjoy.
You can download our show from the link above or of course you can find us on i-Tunes as well. If you have any questions you'd like to ask please feel free to leave comments here on the blog or e-mail them to either of us at the e-mails indicated on the right of the page. Shame you guys didn’t really enjoy the CoK, to let you know where the RC is currently at. For the UK CoK were currently thinking 2k games with scenario tweaks, (to reduce flyer and character spam) 5 Artefacts being swapped out for new ones to keep things fresh and probably a limit of 3 for the same Characters/Monsters/War Engines. (again to promote balance) The same rules will then probably be used for the next US CoK too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm curious to see exactly what happens when those scenario changes are made. I was pretty grim on the show and I wanted that to come through because that is how I felt afterwards. After some more time though I also have to acknowledge that it was a tournament where people are really going for the throat and I'm not at that level. Never have been, likely never will be. I feel quite certain at local small events or events where people have an unspoken local meta of playing the same way it is a significantly smaller to non existent issue.
